1890 Police 5.5" .45LC
The 1890 Police was built for a very short time and in extremely low numbers for a production firearm - basically a failed attempt to stay current with a revolver design that was fast becoming obsolute. As the double action grew in popularity and the Colt remained dominant in the sales of the single action revolvers the 1890 was discontinued and Remington's line moved forward without it. Offered in both the 5.5" barrel which was standard and in the unique and elegant 7.5" barrel. The 1890 Police features a blued casted steel frame, round tapered barrel, fixed sight, and lanyard ring on bottom of grip.
