The Gunfighter

The Gunfighter model is the perfect solution for any shooter looking for more grip to hold on to. Taylor's installed the favorite 1860 Army grip onto the new model forged frame cattleman to accommodate the larger hand shooter. The Army grip is longer and slightly wider than the smaller Navy grip that is usually found on cattleman frames. Requires an FFL dealer to ship.

Nice gun except The hammer with the retractable firing pin is not "Colt" like.
Also, no 4 clicks. I would be fine with this if someone told me before purchase so I could decide for myself.
Otherwise a wonderful weapon, just not an exact Colt copy.
Disappointing. That is why I rated the quality at 1 star. (Posted on 10/9/2018)
An Excellent Pistol Review by Wayne

I took my new 5 1/2 inch barreled .45 Colt Gun Fighter pistol out to the range today to try out. I ordered the pistol with smooth grips and a Taylor Tuning on the gun. The Taylor Tuning was worth it for me as the action is very smooth and the gun shoots great! The pistol was accurate and I am very happy I ordered it. My father brought an original Colt pistol to the range which was great to shoot. A side by side shooting of both guns and the Uberti Gun Fighter was honestly just as smooth if not slightly better than the old Colt. If you order this pistol I firmly believe you will be well pleased! I know I am. (Posted on 6/8/2018)
Great Pistol! Review by scott

Well over 500 rounds through it and the fun never stops. I got the tuned version, and its a joy to shoot, particularly with the 1860 grips. Windage was perfect, shoots a tad low which is easy to correct by filing the front sight if desired, or just compensate like I do. Have only shot 357 cowboy loads and a few 38's. Easy to clean, and I find myself bringing it to the range whenever I go. Trigger is very light and crisp, and just an experience every pistol shooter should have. (Posted on 8/4/2017)

My 1875 Army 45 Colt Review Review by TMCorder

Well balanced Army grip that is easy to shoot. I bought the 5 1/2" barrel blued version. Almost no kick when fired. A lot of fun to shoot on the range. It's like holding a piece of history in your hand. Anyone who buys this gun will not be disappointed!!!!

It is a great deal at a bit over $500. I looked at similar guns were $700 and up.

Only problem is finding 45 long Colt ammo. Only a half a dozen places that sell it in my area. Most of the time they were sold out. I found the best deal at Academy. Box of 50 for $39.95 + tax. (Posted on 1/20/2016)
