1860 Army Charcoal Blue Fluted

The 1860 Army revolver was adopted as US government ordnance because of its lighter weight, improved balance, and superior ballistics. This 6-shot percussion revolver became very popular with mounted troops and went on to be the issued sidearm for the US Army for many years. The 1860 army steel charcoal fluted model features a forged steel frame, shoulder stock cuts and screws, charcoal blue parts, round barrel, fixed front blade sight, ratchet style loading lever, full fluted cylinder, steel backstrap and brass triggerguard, and an Army sized walnut grip. The Charcoal Blue finish is a delicate over-oxidized bluing and when new it is a bright blue color, but over time with use it will naturally patina to a soft grey. A conversion cylinder is available for this model that is a drop-in conversion to smokeless .45LC/.45Schofield ammunition. Uberti 1860 Army Charcoal Blue Review by Frank

I purchased this revolver at the recent Open House in Winchester, VA. Regardless, even at the asking price, this piece is a true work of art. Uberti craftsmanship is evident in the fit, finish and precision in the construction of this replica. I always disassemble the firearms I buy to clean and lube, and this Colt was perfect in every regard. I took this pistol to the range today, and was not disappointed. Off a bench rest support, I was able to get 1 1/2" groups at 25 yards with .451 hard alloy balls and 27 grains pf FFFg GOEX.
I'm Happy!

I purchase black powder weapons primarily for display purposes. This great looking gun really fills that bill. On top of that it is a well functioning handgun. This is my second purchase from Taylor and I am impressed by their service. (Posted on 6/29/2017)

I purchased a pair of the 1860 revolvers about a year ago. Fit and finish is excellent, and I was quite amazed at the accuracy of them both. Love 'em. (Posted on 2/24/2017)
