This 1851 Pepperbox is the perfect unique addition to any black powder collection. The Pepperbox is built on an 1851 Navy revolver frame with a longer cylinder retained on the cylinder pin by a threaded screw. It features a case hardened steel frame, brass backstrap and triggerguard, and an oil finish Navy size grip. Although it does have a longer cylinder, the Pepperbox does follow typical loading recommendations for a Navy revolver that are included in the manufacturer's manual. This is a very unique piece. The fit and finish are top shelf. It is basically a Navy with a massive cylinder, nothing high tech about it, which is the attraction in the first place. You will want to make a simple loading stand to make life easier, since the imagination is the only limit to possible projectiles! Shot loads are a lot of fun here, as well as multiple ball. Think of the Taurus Judge without the limitations. The price is truly decent for such a fun unit! Shipping was incredibly fast. (Posted on 9/9/2016)

This Pepper Box is a full size .36 pistol, not at all a pocket gun. It is a standard size pistol without the barrel but a longer cylinder so it is just as heavy as a barrelled gun. With the longer cylinder, you can load it however you choose. It is well made and the cylinder is good quality steel, I am very happy with it. (Posted on 9/1/2016)
