I caught this on on sale and the price was unbeatable. Sales, service and customer service from Taylor's is outstanding as always!

As is normal for Piettas, the wedge had to be hammered out with a brass punch and properly refitted. Unlike the others I've bought, the barrel did not want to separate from the arbor, so I had to hit the loading lever with a mallet a couple of times to get the barrel to separate, but once it did, I polished the arbor a bit and now all is well. Also, I replaced the nipples with Slix-Shot nipples and cap-sucking is a thing of the past.

These guns take a bit of patience, but I love them and they shoot great. (Posted on 9/16/2017)

It's a nice looking gun. Everything seems to fit together well. I do have to get out some sand paper and do a little work on the grips which have a few high spots that I need to take down but not a big deal. (Posted on 2/10/2017)

First c and b revolver for me. Does every thing I ask of it well. I have an arthritic (SP) on my right side so cannot shoot right handed like when I was young. I shoot this (44 cal) pistol with ball loads and 30 grain bp charge and get 2 & half to three inch groups free hand left handed at 15 yards. . It out shoots my sons .44 cal 1858 .

Good looking gun. I've only shot 4 cylinders through the gun so far, but so far so good. Could use some tuning. (Posted on 5/16/2016)
Fast handling 6 gun Review by Harvey

Pietta quality has been sketchy in the past but that has changed at least the last three ( 2- 1860 armies,1-1851 navy .44's) have all been very nice... This little six gun in .44 packs a punch and is easy to handle, my wife glommed on to it so I probably am gonna need another since I am not giving this one up ! Timing and tune are great for a stock pistol and I have no complaints. It loves round ball but shines with the 240 grain Kaido bullet, great piece........ (Posted on 7/14/2015)
