Let’s face it – it’s natural to gravitate towards Western lifestyle. Whether it’s the simplicity, the tradition, or the legacy… we all have a little cowboy or cowgirl inside. One of the fun ways to enjoy western firearms is to participate in shooting sports dedicated to the western legacy.

Cowboy Fast Draw is one of those sports. A fun and fast paced sport that requires limited gear, and a whole lot of the ability to have fun! Here is a rundown of the basic info about getting into fast draw. Taylor’s works with the Cowboy Fast Draw Association (CFDA) one of the leading organizations promoting the sport of fast draw. Top 3 Taylor’s Guns for Fast Draw:

The 1873 Cattleman is the most common model that is used in fast draw. Some great Taylor’s options are below:

-  Ranch Hand Taylor Tuned – a traditional look with brass backstrap and triggerguard, has both style and simplicity

-  Smoke Wagon Taylor Tuned – a Taylor’s classic

-  Gunfighter Large Grip Taylor Tuned – a longer grip for those with larger hands

- 1873 Floral Engraved Taylor Tuned – for those who like bling

Unique Revolver Styles on the Fast Draw Line:

Some shooters like something a little different and want styles like the Schofield Top Break or the Open Top models to create a certain look and persona. Although these aren’t as traditional as the 1873 Cattleman models, the top break and open top styles can hold their own on the line.

- 2nd Model Schofield

- Open Top (Navy or Army size grip as long as it's in 45LC)
