Back in 2011 Taylor’s brough the 1892 Alaskan Takedown to market. Possibly ahead of it’s time, the Alaskan offered a classic platform with a modern all weather style finish.  We didn’t reinvent the wheel here, we just upgraded it.  Initially boasting a chrome finish with a black soft touch rubberized stock, the Alaskan offered utility and function with the awesome factor of the takedown feature.  We offered a Skinner peep sight on each model and a fiber optic front sight to improve the standard buckhorn style sights found on an 1892. Caliber options started with .45LC, .357Mag, and .44Mag.

Over the years the 1892 Alaskan series has evolved to include several new features including:

·         All Black Versions with a matte black finish and black stock and forend.

·         A rail with integrated peep sight for superior optic options

·         A threaded barrel option is available

·         Caliber options streamlined to .44Mag and .357Mag

·         An improved stock material with slight texture

Now in the days of the modern lever gun options on the market, the Alaskan still reigns supreme.  High quality finishing and all steel parts make it stand out in a sea of choices.

A lightweight design and compact size make it the ultimate choice for hunting, backpacking, travel and more.

The 1892 design will always hold a place in the world of lever guns.
