Remington Outlaw trigger and bolt spring Review by James White

Quality
This is the identical spring to all others being offered now. It doesn't work as-is in older (Navy Arms) Uberti Remington's. While a high quality spring, the newer 'recurve' style not only allows the cylinder stop to slip, it also provides a dangerous hair trigger. One which can be set off by merely bumping the side of the gun. It needs to be reshaped and tempered for satisfactory operation.
I only deducted on value due to the fact if someone isn't familiar with making or shaping springs, they'll need to pay someone else to do it. Doesn't matter where you buy it. You can pay more someplace else (2x as much) for the same spring. Save some money and purchase a pair from Taylor's first.
At least I have a good number of spares on hand now. (Posted on 5/30/2018)

I needed a firing pin for my 1875 outlaw, after the original fell out. I found exactly what I needed, at a great price. It fits and works like the original. (Posted on 11/17/2017)

My 1875 Outlaw with 7 1/2" barrel is a great shooter, but, it devours handsprings. I have read about this problem and it seems to be a very common problem. If anyone is considering a 1875 Outlaw purchase, stock up on handsprings! (Posted on 11/13/2017)

If you use snap caps and practice all day and everyday, it is important to use gun grease were the Cylinder Stop/Bolt meets the Hammer. Check it often and always use gunsmith tools and NEVER use a standard screwdriver. (Posted on 12/27/2016)

Bought the handgun in 45 Colt and then through Taylor's I picked up the 45ACP cylinder to make a convertible set up. I popped the cylinder out of the mailer and into the pistol. Timing was perfect, it turned and locked up just as expected. Nice buy to make a complete setup. (Posted on 10/21/2015)
