The rifles of Christian Sharps - with their toggle-linking trigger guard-lever and vertically siding breechblock designed and patented in December of 1859 - were notorious for their performance during many of the great battles of the Civil War.
The Sharps Company did not suffer the same fate as many gun makers of this period. While many post-war models kept Sharps in business through the buffalo hunting years in the West, the factory continued to produce this fine, accurate, long-range, heavy bore rifle. "Sharps" soon became a household name.
Still sought-after in both the original and reproduction versions some 130 years later, you can enjoy this precision piece of American firearm history thanks to Taylor's & Co. We've put together the finest line of paper cartridge and metallic cartridge Sharps rifles available on the market.
